Pierre was a 2012-2013 Fellow at the Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation’s National People of Color Media Institute. As a contributor to the Huffington Post, he writes on domestic violence, restorative justice, and general issues of social justice. This conference is intended to create a thoughtful and intentional space for campuses and community agencies to showcase their programs, and work together to solve the challenging puzzle of responding to and preventing all forms of sexual and dating violence on college campuses.Due to many requests, we have decided to extend regular registration through Sunday November 26, 2017.Prior to Casa de Esperanza, Pierre worked for Renewal House, a domestic violence shelter in Boston, Mass as the Restorative Justice Advocate, and served as the Director of Media Relations for the Hispanic Black Gay Coalition. He is the Co-Founder of the Massachusetts Restorative Justice Collaborative and served as the Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender (GLBT) Domestic Violence Coalition.Nearly 500 European researchers, service providers, and policy makers were gathered to share and discuss new and emerging understandings, interventions, and strategies for prevention with the aim of further strengthening the evidence base and provide better help for the many individuals and families affected by domestic violence globally.
